And now it is fall!

Hello again! It has been quite a while since I have posted, and my only excuse is: my camera was broken. Yep, that's it. I had originally planned to post pictures of my accomplished summer goals, but I have permanently misplaced my camera cord. Since there would be no pictures, I decided not to post. Pretty lame, huh? (I would like to point out that the Spanish have a much better way of saying that they lost something: "Se me perdio," which literally translated means "It lost itself to me." ;) No blame, no shame!)

Since the summer is now officially over, and Starbucks is once again making people feel happy about cold rainy weather by making delicious pumpkin spice lattes, there is a lot to catch up on! Unfortunately for you, however, this post is just a tease. I have just returned from a week overseas and have an 8 page paper to write by tomorrow, so for now, you just get a list. Here is what happened to my summer goals:
1. I made TWO cake plates. One became a wedding present and one was sold to raise money for the aforementioned overseas trip. I still have one base left, and I am searching for the perfect plate. I will keep this last one.
2. The laundry detergent has been made! It works, but it works best if I add about a 1/2 tsp of store bought, as well. So, rather than replacing store bought, it just significantly extends the life of my commercial products :)
3. I painted half of the dresser. The drawers and the final design still have yet to be. So far, it does look pretty.
4. I bought a duvet cover. It is wonderful! My fabulous Momma paid for half, which did make it cheap :)
5. My room is getting there. Finishing the dresser is a big step.
6. Definitely purged a good bit, but it seems like a never ending task! I brought home a jacket and a pair of shoes from my trip, so I need to purge again. *sigh* Learning to get rid of stuff and live in such a small space is a process!
7. I got up to 3.7 good miles before school kicked into high gear. Now I haven't really run in 3 weeks, and the MudRun is next week! Eek!
8. Fail
9. Still no hiking :( I miss it!
10. I spent the summer reading and researching for my primary article idea, but never really started writing. I did start a bit of drafting for a potential book, though! We'll see where they both lead!

That is it for now! I am off to work and write that 8 pg paper... egads!
