Even though it was two weeks ago, I want to let you know that my birthday party was AWESOME! It was an "Old Holywood" theme, and my roommates found me a pretty stunning dress to wear ;) The guests included James Dean, about four Audrey Hepburns, and Charlie Chaplin! See if you can spy each character!
Aren't we fancy?
Easter was also a nice, relaxed time, but we missed Nae... she had to stay up in the city for work :( The week before Easter, boyfriend's grandmother went to be with the Lord, and he went home a little earlier than planned in order to celebrate her life with his family (therefore, he was not at the above birthday party). She left behind an awesome legacy of a wonderful, close-knit family, nearly all of whom are strong Christians!

This past weekend, I headed to Columbia for a wedding. It was absolutely beautiful, and it was strangely interesting for me especially, because many of my little "worlds" seemed to colide. There were people from Campus Crusade for Christ that I had known through the campus organization my freshman year, friends of the bride. There were youth from the church that I worked at in Columbia, since the bride worked there before I did! And there were people from the seminary, which is where the bride and groom met one another and where I met the groom and got to really know the bride. Craziness! They make such an amazing couple, though, and I'm excited to see what the Lord does through them. They'll be working with youth, and she may do some women's ministry as time goes on.

While I was in Cola, I was able to catch up with old friends. There were Navigators people, including Rob, Jeff, Alfred, Daniel, and Meredith. I hadn't seen them in so long, and it was WONDERFUL to re-connect. I miss those friends! There were a few Shandon people, but that was mostly Anne, who I stayed with. She and I met my senior year, her freshman year at a church event briefly, and then at a very chance lunch one day, and she's been an awesome friend since. She's headed on all sorts of mission trips this summer, from Nicaragua to Honduras to TN.

Later that night then I was able to re-connect with a former friend and roommate. We had a bit of a falling out and haven't spoken in almost three years, so it was incredible to see the way that the Lord has worked in both of us to the point that there is healing and restoration going on. She gets married in two weeks, and I was able to meet her fiance and wish them the best. After we talked, I headed back to NC, getting in at 2am. All together, it was quite a full and wonderful weekend!
