Additionally this week, my roommates and I have been responsible for caring for our 17 year old neighbor while her mom and 3 younger sisters are in CA. Definitely interesting. And for those of you who may have been worried about my safety after hearing about the 97 (yes that number is exaggerated) tornadoes that touched down here last Saturday, don't worry... I wisely stayed out of harms way by attending and outdoor wedding, which was delayed by an hour while we hid in the basement that had plateglass windows on all sides. Oy vay! It was a wonderful, beautiful wedding. My roommate and I took some fun pictures at a photo booth that they had to entertain us all. You can even see the water stain on the right where the torrential rain managed to infiltrate the tent where the reception (and finally in plan c, the actual wedding ceremony as well) took place.

In the midst of all this, I am SO excited that it is Spring! Spring means so many things: my birthday, new growth, flowers, warm weather on the way, baseball, and Easter. Easter is by far my favorite holiday. It is the reason that my faith in Jesus matters. Yes, he was killed by Jews and Romans, but three days after his cruxifiction, Jesus of Nazareth rose from the dead, proving that everything he had said about himself (he claimed to be God and the son of God, you know) was true! For three days, evil seemed to have triumphed, but through all of these events, prophecy was fulfilled and Jesus was proved true. It is because he was willing to die (yes, willing... since he proved himself to be God, he clearly had the power to prevent his own death. Heck, he even raised other people from the dead!), I can now declare victory over sin and death! Yep, I love Easter. Praying for you as you celebrate!
